<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Day Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Come join our Worker's Compensation team at Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England!</p> <p>WORK IS ON SITE- LOCAL RESIDENCY REQUIRED</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Develops a networking relationship with workers' compensation carriers, managed care organizations and employers for the purpose of ensuring timely payment of occupational medicine clinic patient charges. Communicates effectively with clinical operations and administrative personnel concerning the transmission of medical chart documentation for the purposes of bill resubmissions and appeals. Analyzes EOB's (Explanation of Benefits) from payers to determine the accuracy of their reimbursement to the occupational medicine program.</p> <p>What you will do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Communicate effectively on a continual basis with the Collections Manager</p> </li><li> <p>Review EOB denials and identifies denial trends along with solutions for resolution</p> </li><li> <p>Run accounts receivable aging report to follow up on outstanding insurance payments that need to be reviewed for additional follow up</p> </li><li> <p>Identify claims that need to be appealed and process appeal in a timely manner</p> </li><li> <p>Establish working relationship with clinical site personnel for the effective transfer of information</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>WORK IS ON SITE- LOCAL RESIDENCY REQUIRED</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent, college level courses preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of Accounts Receivable/ Collections experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of workers' compensation claims preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with insurance follow up, calling insurance carriers, review of EOB's, appeal writing preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Working knowledge of CPT, HCPC, and ICD-10 codes</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Highlights and Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Full time 40hrs M-F days</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent benefits - starting day 1!</p> </li></ul> <p>Ministry/Facility Information</p> <p>Saint Francis Hospital is committed to exceeding the expectations of our patients and families by providing world-class service in a progressive, people-centered, compassionate health care environment.
