Crouse#s 36-bed#Neuroscience#Unit#is hiring a#Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)# who is#responsible for providing clerical and receptionist support. Pay Range:#$20.00-28.37/hour Available Schedule(s):#7am-3:30pm and 3pm - 11:30 pm#with other shifts assigned Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) Position Responsibilities: Effectively assists with processing patient admission, transfer and discharge documentation. Answers telephone and email inquiries in a polite and professional manner; refers all calls to appropriate person, takes and relays detailed messages in a timely manner (when necessary). Greets and welcomes visitors/patients to the department in a courteous manner and assists with providing relevant information and directives. Proactively communicates with department leadership to keep them informed of department activities, and alerts them of problems, when necessary. Actively participates in special department and/or hospital projects, as needed. Accurately inputs charges in the computer system; enters electronic work orders as needed. Prepares, processes and maintains charts for all patients ensuring the inclusion of all necessary forms and health information data. Maintains inventory of clerical and materials management supplies for the department. Effectively facilitates patient transfer requests in an organized and timely fashion.
