The ideal operator would possess good organizational, time management, problem-solving, and housekeeping skills. We want people who look for opportunities to learn new skills and can contribute to making our facility an even better place to work.</p> <p>Our facility operators produce neat and polymer modified asphalt oil for sale to paving and repair customers. The position works in the tank farm with other operators as a team to produce, process, ensure quality, and load/unload materials directly to our customers. We need people who enjoy being outside in a variety of weather conditions so that we as a team can better serve our customers.</p> <p>Basic Job Description:</p> <p>Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility, which includes handling, production, storage, and shipping of hot asphalt, emulsified asphalt, and raw materials.</p> <p>Position Qualifications:</p> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> <p>Good people skills</p> <p>Good written and verbal communication</p> <p>Professional work ethic</p> <p>Ability to read and follow instructions and work well independently</p> <p>Ability to learn computer skills</p> <p>Must be capable of lifting or moving objects that weigh up to 50 pounds or more with additional assistance</p> <p>Must be capable of bending, lifting, and climbing tanks or other structures</p> <p>Must be able to work varying shifts and occasional weekends</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Loading, unloading, transferring, blending, and production of hot asphalt as well as emulsified asphalt</p> <p>Strict adherence to the Product Process Management System (PPM) requirements</p> <p>Daily monitoring and gauging of tanks</p> <p>Strict adherence to health and safety rules and regulations as well as participate in maintaining a safety-based culture</p> <p>Monitoring, operation, and preventative maintenance of all mechanical equipment within the facility</p> <p>Properly maintain logs, records, and electronic data</p> <p>Perform routine inspections of the facility and address any environmental, health, or safety concerns</p> <p>Assist with inventory of supplies, raw materials, and finished products</p> <p>Ergon offers a competitive benefits package: 401(k), Health, Life, Dental, Holidays, Vacation, Sick Leave, Tuition Assistance and Profit Sharing</p> <p>Ergon is an EEO/AAP Employer.</p> <p>Email your resume, No Walk-ins or Phone Calls will be accepted.
