They apply their own judgement, prioritize their work, work with the client independently. This role will begin to take on more complex bookkeeping tasks and deliverables and work to independently complete deliverables for the tax team and tax clients and is expected to do so in a timely manner, with high quality and accuracy. Take on new clients. This role works on several clients across various industries and geographies and is expected to be able to manage their time and priorities in order to meet deadlines.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Client Deliverables and Advisory:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide best in-class basic accounting and financial reporting support services to clients under direct supervision and with an emphasis on being responsive, timely, professional and accurate</p> </li><li> <p>Provide accounting related services to our clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger and monthly, quarterly and year end reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Provide team with basic support to accomplish client deliverables</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare client statements and reports for next level review</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively communicate status of work, ask timely questions and seek clarity from lead on client engagement when needed in order to keep work progressing</p> </li><li> <p>Answer basic accounting and software questions, escalating as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Meet client service expectations through adhering to quality and timely client deliverables, and meeting time budget expectations</p> </li><li> <p>Responsive to questions/concerns from team members and clients (internal and/or external)</p> </li><li> <p>Execute on defined processes and procedures and share ideas or recommendations for improvements</p> </li><li> <p>Promptly communicate roadblocks and inefficiencies as they arise</p> </li></ul> <p>Individual Development:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintain and expand knowledge base of accounting principles and practices</p> </li><li> <p>Apply learning from one client engagement to the next and share learning with fellow team members where relevant</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current with updates and improvements on applicable technology platforms and obtain certifications as directed by supervisor</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Bachelor's preferred</p> </li><li> <p>2-4+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or tax-related client service experience</p> </li><li> <p>Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to work independently while overseeing multiple client engagements simultaneously</p> </li><li> <p>Reviewing work, or providing guidance to junior team members</p> </li><li> <p>Strong client-service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p> </li><li> <p>Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and intellectual curiosity</p> </li><li> <p>Commitment to confidentiality and professional integrity</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</p> </li><li> <p>Enjoys interacting with clients and delivering exceptional service with a consultative approach</p> </li></ul> <p>For Madison, the pay rate range for this job position is $21.59 to $37.75. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.</p> <p>For Appleton & Janesville, the pay rate range for this job position is $25.00 to $36.00. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of relevant factors including but not limited to applicant's skills, prior experience, qualifications, degrees, professional certifications, work arrangements and geographic location. Baker Tilly offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package to eligible employees.</p>
