Come join us make a significant difference in the lives of patients!</p> <p>About the Position:</p> <p>The Pharmacology intern will support specific project(s) such as ex vivo muscle physiology, in vivo animal function, assay development, and biomarker analysis.</p> <p>Essential Job Duties and Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in the design and execution of experiments </li><li>Analyze data using scientific software (e.g., GraphPad Prism, Excel) </li><li>Conduct literature reviews </li><li>Maintain laboratory records and reports </li><li>Participate in team meetings and present findings </li></ul> <p>Required Education, Experience and Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in biology, physiology, pharmacology, biomedical science, or related field </li><li>Basic understanding of biology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, or biomedical science </li><li>Course work completed: biology, physiology, anatomy lab, chemistry, or biomedical engineering (this will likely be someone who has completed their junior year) </li><li>Basic understanding of lab techniques </li><li>Familiarity with lab safety protocols and data analysis </li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Preferred: </li><li>Basic understanding of biology, pharmacology, or muscle mechanics </li><li>Dissection, tissue isolation, tissue handling, surgical skills, animal work </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $20/hour; internship runs for 8-10 weeks</p> <p>There is no deadline because the employer accepts applications on an ongoing basis.</p> <p>Edgewise does not accept resumes from recruitment agencies for this position.
