Read more about us at venicefamilyclinic.org</p> <p>Come join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Registered Nurse (Clinical Nurse II). Under the supervision of the Nursing Supervisor, the RN will:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct nursing services to patients (adults and children) in our free, community-based primary health care clinic(s) in Los Angeles County. </li><li>Prepare patients for medical examination including taking medical history, performing health screening tests, lab tests, giving injections and emergency procedures when necessary. </li><li>Provide health education and health assessments. </li><li>Triage medical problems, assist with dispensing of medications, and provide nursing consultation. </li><li>Help oversee the medical assistants, volunteer student RN's, CMA's, medical students and clinic assistants. </li><li>Participate in meetings, projects, quality assurance activities, and other duties as needed. </li><li>Float to our other sites in LA County as needed and help with coverage. </li><li>Complete other duties as assigned within legal scope of practice. </li></ul> <p>Salary range: $62.43 - $92.81 Hourly</p> <p>Job Qualifications</p> <p>Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>BSN or MSN from an accredited school of nursing (ASN required for current UCLA Health RN staff). </li><li>Current, active California Registered Nurse License. </li><li>BLS certificate from American Heart Association or American Red Cross. </li><li>Minimum of 6-months of RN work experience post licensure. </li><li>Demonstrated skill in delivery of patient care, and outpatient and primary nursing skills. </li><li>Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral status assessments. </li><li>Ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team. </li><li>Skill in developing a plan of care including setting goals, monitoring and documenting progress. </li><li>Working knowledge of child abuse reporting laws. </li><li>Ability and willingness to travel to our other locations in LA County as needed. </li></ul> <p>As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts a conditional offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; received notice of any allegations or are currently the subject of any administrative or disciplinary proceedings involving misconduct; have left a position after receiving notice of allegations or while under investigation in an administrative or disciplinary proceeding involving misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of misconduct with a previous employer.</p>
