No If temporary (or grant funded) position, indicate ending date Description of Job Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The Office of Admission Services is seeking a highly motivated, detail oriented individual to join our tightly knit and supportive team. This position involves analysis, data entry and processing of student information at all phases of the admissions cycle.</p> <p>Candidates should possess general knowledge of higher education functional areas such as registrars, recruiting, student services, and international programs. Knowledge and experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as SLATE and information systems such as Banner is highly desired.</p> <p>Candidates will need strong computer skills. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products is preferred.</p> <p>Duties and responsibilities required of this position include but are not limited to the following:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct research and ensure admissions decisions comply with relevant federal, state, local and institutional laws, policies, and procedures; </li><li>Support other university offices to include Student Services, Admissions & Recruiting, and international programs; </li><li>Serve as a subject matter resource for staff, faculty and students where admissions processes and policies are concerned. This requires maintaining a thorough knowledge of academic programs, admissions procedures, and selective program requirements; </li><li>Assist in testing routine systems upgrades and new processes; </li><li>Train new and existing employees on admissions policies and procedures; </li><li>Evaluate and verify submitted documentation and determine admission status for international, graduate, undergraduate, dual enrollment/early college and selective programs. This documentation includes but is not limited to, admissions applications, transcripts, medical records, major changes, cancellation forms and test scores; </li><li>Analyze routine compliance reports and edits and make appropriate updates to student information system; </li><li>Initiate and process automated decision-making functions along with other system related tasks such as accurately extracting precise data, editing systems data, data clean-up and review of communication plans for errors; </li><li>Provide support as needed for various campus events such as: Orientation, recruiting functions and graduation; </li><li>Act as a Designated School Official (DSO) for international student admissions; </li><li>Ensure accuracy and security of student academic records in accordance with FERPA and standard records management practices; </li><li>Work with third party vendors to ensure confidential data is received in a timely manner to determine an applicant's admissions status.
