<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Coastal Empire Community Mental Health Center, 1510 Gray's Highway, Ridgeland, SC 29936.</p> <p>The Office of Mental Health's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses. We provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.</p> <p>As the Mental Health Professional, you will provide assessments and crisis interventions for children, their families, as well as other direct services (group, family, etc.). Serve as liaison for the Jasper County Schools, DSS and Family Court.</p> <p>Responsibilities for this Mental Health Professional:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide direct clinical services to children, adolescents and their families in the clinic/school setting. Provides assessments and crisis management, as well as individual, group and family therapy as needed. Ensures documentation of all services provided following established standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consultation/education activities and case management on behalf of our consumers to community agencies as requested, under the supervision of the C&A Program Supervisors.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in weekly team staffings with other mental health professionals, as well as attend and participate in C&A staffings as scheduled.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide consultation and assists in coordination of hospital admissions and placement of children and adolescents. Provide follow-up after discharge.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in school related activities such as PTO's, classroom presentations, and other extra-curricular-related activities in support of client (student) relations.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide limited consultation/educational activities in the community upon request and approval by supervisor</p> </li></ul> <p>This position MAY be eligible for SCOMH Student Loan Repayment to cover some of the cost of your outstanding loan(s) balance associated with the completion of a healthcare degree that is relevant to the appliable position.</p> <p>Submit an up-to-date, detailed resume along with a copy of your transcripts.</p> <p>Coastal Empire CMHC is an approved site of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC), which offers student loan repayment of up to $50,000.00 to employees of NHSC- approved sites. You must be a US Citizen, you must be licensed to practice independently in the state where you are hired and you must have unpaid government or commercial school loans. There is a two-year service commitment required as well.
