Adjunct faculty members teach on a semester-by-semester basis. They are expected to perform all instruction-related duties and responsibilities promptly and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of Goodwin University. Adjunct faculty members report to the Director/Coordinator, who serves under the direction of the Dean.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Abiding by and upholding Goodwin's mission, policies, and core values </li><li>Completing required professional development (e.g., FERPA) </li><li>Teaching students in assigned course(s) </li><li>Implementing assigned courses as designed and specified in approved syllabi. </li><li>Using Canvas effectively </li><li>Assigning grades based on specified criteria as delineated in course syllabi and posting the grades to Canvas and the University's data systems </li><li>Being available to students for individual consultation </li><li>Assisting students with how to be successful in a college class </li><li>Communicating promptly with their director, students, and staff </li><li>Meeting all course and semester timelines, including submitting attendance, mid-term grades, and final grades by the specified due dates </li><li>Staying current within the field of study </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree in microbiology or a related field.
