<p>Overview</p> <p>Compensation: $60,000 - $97,000 based on experience and credentials</p> <p>Location Type: Hybrid, a flexible work model blending in-office and remote working</p> <p>Position Type: Full Time</p> <p>Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM</p> <p>The Commercial Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing key financial and operational reports to support the decision-making processes within the Commercial Banking team. Key responsibilities include gathering data from multiple sources, preparing reports, identifying trends, and delivering insights to support business objectives. The ideal incumbent has strong analytical skills, is detail-oriented, and has experience in commercial banking or financial reporting.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Collect and validate data from internal systems, external sources, and other financial platforms </li><li>Perform in-depth analysis of trends and patterns that impact the commercial banking sector, identifying areas of opportunity or risk </li><li>Develop, produce, and maintain regular and ad hoc reports for senior management and other stakeholder </li><li>Generate reports related to financial performance, credit risk, portfolio metrics, and other key areas within commercial banking </li><li>Interpret data to create actionable insights and recommendations that drive business growth and operational efficiency </li><li>Work closely with business leaders to understand reporting needs and adjust reporting processes as required </li><li>Collaborate with other teams such as Risk, Finance, IT, and Compliance to ensure data accuracy and alignment across departments </li><li>Present findings and reports to stakeholders, explaining complex data clearly and concisely </li><li>Identify and implement process improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, speed, and efficiency </li><li>Maintain knowledge of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in financial reporting and analytics </li><li>Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports summarizing review outcomes and identifying potential risks or concerns for the credit and lending teams </li><li>Maintain knowledge and understanding of current trends, laws, and issues affecting the area of expertise </li><li>Attend educational events to increase professional knowledge </li><li>Complete annual compliance and info security training to understand employees' role in maintaining effective compliance and security programs </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, or related field (A comparable combination of work experience and training may be substituted for education requirements.) </li><li>A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analytics or reporting for commercial lending with a financial institution </li><li>Experience with financial reporting in a commercial banking environment </li><li>Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook </li><li>Proficiency in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) </li><li>Proficient knowledge of MS SQL relational database theory and practice </li><li>Proficient knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational, and hierarchical) </li><li>Experience writing complex queries, views, and stored procedures to extract data </li><li>Ability to troubleshoot and analyze tables to establish knowledge of data for accurate retrieval and use in report writing </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft SQL Server 2012, SQL Server Reporting/ Report Builder, SQL Server Integration Service, Analysis Services, and Microsoft SharePoint 2010 </li><li>Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets </li><li>Advanced credit, reporting, and administrative skills </li><li>Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions </li><li>Knowledge of credit underwriting, accounting, and loan documentation preferred </li><li>Ability to prioritize tasks by effectively managing competing and changing priorities to meet deadlines </li><li>Accurate, detail-oriented, and organized with task management </li><li>Ability to analyze and resolve difficult and often complex problems or situations </li><li>Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with members, staff, vendors, and government regulators </li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union products, services, policies, and procedures </li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance </li><li>Strong knowledge and understanding of credit union computer systems and software applications
