<p>Responsibilities</p> <p>The Accounting Manager oversees the day-to-day activities of the accounts payable team as well as partners with the Accounting Management team to provide strategic direction to the accounting organization. The Accounting Manager provides data analytics and metrics to assist in effective and efficient processes for accounts payable and other areas within the accounting organization. The Accounting Manager supervises and assists in resolving A/P issues, reviews account coding, approval of invoices, provides support for acquisitions and integration and ad hoc projects as necessary. Additionally this role will be responsible for maintaining vendor relationships. The Accounting Manager is a working manager and assists A/P staff with completing daily duties, provides timely and accurate accounts payable dashboard metrics and establishes strong working relationships with purchasing.</p> <p>Accounting Administration - 80%• Manage and monitor daily operations to ensure timely execution of all applicable responsibilities.• Monitor and manage the distribution of workflow to leverage each employee and ensure equitable workload• Monitor and assist the staff with daily tasks as needed to ensure timely execution.• Reviews and approves vendor creation/maintenance in accounting system, ensuring vendors are established according to policy and IRS regulations with no duplication.• Recommend system and procedural process improvements.• Understand, interpret and communicate information/data to improve efficiencies and performance.• Works with vendors and staff on workflow to streamline invoice receipt from scanning paper invoices to electronic delivery.• Interfaces with vendors, internal customers and auditors to identify and resolve problems.• Ensure client requirements are communicated and adhered to on consistent basis.• Handle all required client and/or customer issues, researching accounting issues regarding vendors, work cohesively with other departments to resolve any outstanding W9 issues.• Performs reconciliations of vendors including review of supporting documentation.• Continually identifies process improvements and executes on implementation of such improvements.• Leverages the functionality ReQlogic provides with respect to reporting, metrics, analysis, etc.• Remains current on best practices relating to accounts payable and related processes.• Maintains policy and process documents.• Serves as back up for AP staff as necessary.Supervision - 20%• Effectively supervises and manages direct reports and provides, by example and leadership, motivation and direction to employees of the organization.• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable state and federal employment laws.• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; recognizing and rewarding employees; corrective disciplinary procedures and practices (under direction of supervisor and in partnership with Human Resources), addressing complaints and resolving problems.• Ensures annual employee performance reviews are conducted in a timely and effective manner. Evaluates performance of employees for compliance with established policies and objectives of the organization and contributions in attaining objectives.• Helps set the tone of the department to ensure morale, team work, and that the positive employment culture of the organization is maintained.• Regularly schedules leadership/management, department, and staff 1:1 meetings to provide leadership, development, and a forum for communication to ensure coordination and collaboration in meeting organization and individual goals.REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.• A minimum of ten years progressive experience in AP supervisory positions and/or general accounting.• Strong management skills and a minimum of five years of experience supervising staff. </li><li>Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud.• Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel required. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED</p> <ul> <li>Experience a healthcare environment such as managed care, hospital, insurance company or other healthcare related company preferred• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Solomon and Solomon General Ledger and ReQlogic preferred.• Current experience and knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and private pay reimbursement preferred. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>InnovAge is dedicated to empowering seniors to live independently, allowing them to age in their own homes and communities safely.
