<p>PeaceHealth is seeking a RN Foot Care Specialist for a Per Diem/Relief, 0.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $49.64 - $74.46. The hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to education, training, work experience, terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement, seniority, etc.</p> <p>Spotlight on Cottage Grove Community Medical Center: https://peacehealth.culturehq.com/story/5594</p> <p>Provides professional nursing direct patient care for patients with wound care needs in compliance with professional practice and unit standards. Provides both education and clinical interventions that promote patient independence and self-care.</p> <p>Details of the position:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct patient wound/skin care. Performs conservative instrumental debridement and chemical cauterization of hypertrophic granulation tissue and closed wound edges. Initiates and monitors compression therapy for patient with venous insufficiency. </li><li>Assess patient and develop plan of care. Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards. Communicates with health care team to support case management of patients. </li><li>Develops, delivers, and evaluates education programs for patients, staff and community. Serves as resource to physicians, staff and community. </li><li>Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development. </li><li>Product recommendation and involvement in committees and projects in area of expertise. </li><li>Supports the pressure ulcer prevention program. Assists in review of Pressure Ulcer Policy and Procedure, monitors specialty bed utilization. </li><li>Responsible for outpatient clinic services as they pertain to scheduling, treatment, billing and infection control. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>What you bring:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree Required: Nursing or equivalent education/and or experience </li><li>Minimum one year Required: in an acute care facility or successful completion of a training course/orientation and standard competencies within six months of hire </li><li>Required Upon Hire: Registered Nurse In state of practice and </li><li>Required within 1-1/2 Yrs: Certified Wound Specialist American Board of Wound Management or </li><li>Required within 1-1/2 Yrs: Wound Care Certified National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy or </li><li>Required within 1-1/2 Yrs: Certified Wound Care Nurse Wound Ostomy Continence Nursing Certification Board </li><li>Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support </li><li>Preferred: Foot Care certification may be required </li></ul> <p>For a full description or questions about the position, contact Melissa, MHomuth@peacehealth.org</p> <p>PeaceHealth is committed to the overall wellbeing of our caregivers.
