<p>Position Information</p> <p>Job Title Assistant Professor-Director of Behavioral Health at Center of Excellence for HIV/AIDS Department Internal Medicine - 31510 Pay Grade 1 Job Category College of Medicine Faculty Job Summary</p> <p>The ETSU Center of Excellence (COE) for HIV/AIDS, housed within the Department of Internal Medicine, is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor to serve as the Director of Behavioral Health. This role will be instrumental in leading and expanding behavioral health programs within the COE, integrating clinical care, education, program development, and research. The Director will provide direct patient care, delivering point-of-care behavioral health interventions at the COE's Johnson City and Kingsport locations while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, including medical providers and the pharmacology team, to ensure comprehensive patient-centered care. This position will oversee the development of therapy groups, psychotherapy programs, and innovative behavioral health initiatives to enhance care for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.</p> <p>In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Director will educate medical students, residents, and fellows about the biopsychosocial model and behavioral health interventions in clinical settings. This includes mentoring trainees, providing staff education, and fostering a culture of integrated behavioral health within the COE. The position also involves program development and leadership, leading strategic expansion of behavioral health services and implementing initiatives to improve patient outcomes. The Director will also engage in research and scholarly activities, contributing to studies focused on behavioral health and HIV care while supporting publications and academic presentations.</p> <p>East Tennessee State University (ETSU) is an institution with over 14,000 diverse students highly ranked graduate and undergraduate programs.
