New York State Certification in Special Education or Students with Disabilities (7-12) or Students with Disabilities, All Grades</p> <p>? Dual certification in Biology and/or General Sciences (7-12)</p> <p>? Fingerprinting clearance required</p> <p>Essential Duties (include, but are not limited to):</p> <p>? Meet and teach assigned classes and caseload</p> <p>? Maintain a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and supports all students</p> <p>? Maintain accurate and complete records to track the progress of individual students</p> <p>? Communicate with parents regarding the progress of individual students</p> <p>? Experience with developing and implementing IEPs</p> <p>? Provide related services and classroom modifications and accommodations as required on student IEPs</p> <p>? Use assessment tools to guide instruction and monitor student progress</p> <p>? Work with students with disabilities in the classroom and utilize IEP goals in planning instructional practices</p> <p>? Ability to differentiate instruction and plan collaboratively with other teachers</p> <p>? Broad knowledge of assessments and development of individualized programs</p> <p>? Demonstrate a range of tools and techniques for effective classroom and behavior management</p> <p>?
