<p>Position Type: This is a "Pipeline" position for near future openings for PRN Level I, Level II, and Level III Speech Language Pathologist.</p> <p>Work Location: Main Hospital Campus - Outpatient Services</p> <p>Responsible for evaluating speech/language of children and providing remediation for children with communication disorders.</p> <p>Minimum Education</p> <p>Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (Required)</p> <p>Minimum Work Experience</p> <ul> <li> <p>Level 1 - 0 to 2 years of experience (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Level 2 - 4 to 6 years of experience (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Level 3 - 6 years of experience (Required)</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Knowledge</p> <p>Demonstrated flexibility in the evaluation process.</p> <p>Shows knowledge of counseling techniques.</p> <p>Shows empathy and caring.</p> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of theoretical application.</p> <p>Demonstrates knowledge of cultural and linguistic diversity.</p> <p>Required Licenses and Certifications</p> <p>Speech-Language Pathologist (Required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech/Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and state licensure or CF eligible (Required)</p> <p>Functional Accountabilities</p> <p>Patient Evaluations</p> <ul> <li> <p>Evaluate patients using standard and special procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Use appropriate protocol for age and disorder, complete protocol in a timely fashion.</p> </li><li> <p>Show skills for a variety of disorders and test instruments.</p> </li><li> <p>Use knowledge of cultural linguistic features appropriately in the diagnostic process.</p> </li><li> <p>Use translators when appropriate; demonstrate use of appropriate language when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Adapt procedures for specialized disorders (e.g., stuttering, alternative/augmentative communication, bilingual, etc.).</p> </li></ul> <p>Schedules/Self-Management</p> <ul> <li> <p>Take initiative to maintain schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Show flexibility with schedule changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Plan ahead for changes to schedule.</p> </li><li> <p>Meet department standards for patient contact hours.</p> </li></ul> <p>Test Results/Clinical Reports</p> <ul> <li>Report test results accurately using appropriate format. </li></ul> <p>Remediation Services</p> <ul> <li> <p>Deliver therapy in an appropriate manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Use knowledge of theoretical application with patient.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare therapy progress reports, discharge summary and insurance requests based upon documented child performance within timeframe.</p> </li><li> <p>Show productivity in patient progress.</p> </li><li> <p>Show knowledge of counseling techniques-show empathy and caring</p> </li><li> <p>Recognize the need for future counseling and know when to refer patient.</p> </li></ul>
