<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Rotating Shift</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>Pharmacy Technician - St. Peter's Hospital</p> <p>If you are looking for a full time Pharmacy Technician position in to meet your schedule, this could be your opportunity.</p> <p>Position Highlights:</p> <ul> <li>Quality of Life: Where career opportunities and quality of life converge </li><li>Advancement: Strong orientation program, generous tuition allowance and career development </li><li>Work/Life: Positions and shifts to accommodate all schedules </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Medication Distribution -</p> <p>Outpatient Pharmacy</p> <ul> <li>Appropriately handles incoming phone calls. </li><li>Collects patient information necessary for prescription processing. </li><li>Understands timetable for courier deliveries to offsites. </li><li>Accurately processes requests for prescription refills. </li></ul> <p>Medication Preparation -</p> <p>Outpatient Pharmacy</p> <ul> <li>Accurately enters patient information into the computer. </li><li>Counts correct medication and quantity for the prescription. </li><li>Accurately fills employee orders for Over The Counter medications. </li></ul> <p>Inventory -</p> <p>Outpatient Pharmacy</p> <ul> <li>Maintains inventory levels for the narcotic cabinet. </li><li>Maintain adequate levels of drugs and supplies for Outpatient area. </li><li>Receives incoming order from wholesaler, resolves shortages and out of stocks. </li></ul> <p>Order, Reporting Processing and Record Keeping</p> <p>Outpatient Pharmacy</p> <ul> <li>Files prescriptions correctly on a daily basis. </li><li>Delivers charge sheets to Central Registration to set up patient registrations. </li><li>Processes NYS Medicaid rejected claims and manual submission forms. </li><li>Completes correct controlled substance paperwork, so as to maintain correct controlled substance inventory. </li><li>Processes daily and monthly statistical reports and logs. </li></ul> <p>What you will need:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills </li><li>Able to perform arithmetic calculations including fractions, decimals, multiplication and division </li><li>Two years pharmacy and computer experience preferred </li><li>Relevant health care related experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $19.00 - $23.42</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
