Our radiation therapy for cancer makes treatment shorter, safer, personalized and more effective, ultimately enabling patients to live longer, better lives.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Financial Analyst Intern will support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team with core financial reporting, analysis, and planning activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and executive-level reporting within a dynamic, regulated manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with FP&A professionals and cross-functional partners to help drive financial insight and operational decision-making.</p> <p>This internship is designed to develop foundational FP&A skills while providing meaningful contributions to ongoing finance initiatives and special projects.</p> <p>REPORTING TO/DEPARTMENT:</p> <p>Reports to the Senior Financial Analyst in the Financial Planning & Analysis department.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with monthly financial reporting, including preparation of variance analyses versus budget, forecast, and prior periods. </li><li>Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including data collection, modeling updates, and consolidation of inputs from functional teams. </li><li>Help maintain and update financial models related to operating expenses, headcount, vendor spend, and key performance indicators (KPIs). </li><li>Prepare Excel-based analyses and summaries to support FP&A reviews and management presentations. </li><li>Partner with Accounting and FP&A team members during month-end close activities, including review of actuals and trend analysis. </li><li>Support ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects related to cost management, vendor spend, productivity, or strategic initiatives. </li><li>Assist in improving reporting tools, templates, and processes to enhance data accuracy and efficiency. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Preferred or Desired:</p> <ul> <li>Prior internship, coursework, or project experience in finance, accounting, or analytics </li><li>Exposure to financial systems such as ERP, planning tools, or BI platforms </li><li>Interest in FP&A, corporate finance, or business analytics </li></ul> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field </li><li>Strong analytical skills with attention to detail </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, basic modeling) </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment </li></ul> <p>To qualify for this position, candidates must be able to furnish proof that they are authorized to work in the country they are applying on a permanent basis without sponsorship.</p> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>At Accuray, our commitment to patient-first outcomes drives an inclusive and collaborative work environment where the best ideas rise to the top - and everyone works to push them further.
