<p>Male Community Reentry Program (MCRP), a program of HealthRIGHT 360, is a 200-bed residential facility for adult men who are in custody and on parole. We provide comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services. Treatment episode ranges in time from 6 months to 12 months. This program is a fast-paced environment where communication is paramount to provide cutting edge services to men in a residential treatment setting as well as their families.</p> <p>The Client Safety Navigator (CSN) fosters a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment. CSN works with program leadership, Sherriff's or local law enforcement, and other teams to respond to emergency and crisis situations, including client drug use, overdose, programmatic interruptions, and other situations.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Ensure and maintain a safe and orderly environment for clients, staff, and visitors in compliance with the agency and industry standards and safety regulations by monitoring security cameras, attending building security meetings, working collaboratively with service providers and administrative staff, by clearing areas of crowds, debris, and out-of-place items, and by performing other tasks necessary to remain compliance. </li><li>Maintain client and visitor log. </li><li>Welcome and assist clients when returning from appointments, ensure clients sign in, and check belongings for contraband. </li><li>Welcome visitors, check visitors' credentials, ensure that they sign in, and escort them to the supervisor on duty. </li><li>Always carry Narcan, recognize signs of overdose, and use Narcan to reverse drug overdose as necessary. </li><li>Direct and deflect traffic, de-escalate tense, high pressure, and emotionally charged situations. </li><li>Maintain a positive, respectful, non-confrontational behavior even during time of observation and de-escalation. </li><li>Make regular rounds to monitor entrances, exits, offices, common areas, and build perimeters. </li><li>Monitor documents and accurately distribute client's money. </li><li>Ensure that all house laundry is completed. </li><li>Ensure that client medications are securely stored and properly accounted for. </li><li>Hold facility keys and floater cellular phones. </li><li>Work with local law enforcement as needed. </li><li>File documents as needed. </li><li>Document client updates and incidents in the program in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures and other regulatory requirements to satisfy internal and external evaluating requirements. </li><li>Maintain appropriate boundaries and adhere to the organization's code of conduct. </li><li>Ensure compliance with HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and other funding requirements. </li><li>Attend and participate in meetings. </li><li>Participate and complete all training assigned. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education, Certification, or Licensure</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required. Higher education preferred. </li><li>Possess a valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. </li><li>Valid Alcohol and Drug Counselor or Substance Use Disorder Counselor registration or certification from a California accredited agency (CCAPP, CADTP, CAADE) is a plus. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self-sufficiency </li></ul> <p>Background Check and Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to complete a background check and livescan clearance </li><li>Ability to meet CDCR clearance requirements </li></ul>
