<p>The Department of Rehabilitation Therapies at the University of Iowa Health Care is seeking an 100% Rehabilitation Therapy Aide to work under the supervision of a behavioral health occupational therapist (OT) and recreational therapist (RT), and to perform designated tasks to assist in services provided by the Department of Rehabilitation Therapies. This position will have daytime hours during the week, generally 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday - Thursday.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists in preparing and maintaining a safe, clean patient care environment </li><li>Assists in preparing designated patient (s) for therapy intervention including taking patients on and/or off units for group(s) </li><li>Assist patients as directed during group </li><li>Reports potential patient-related situations and any other pertinent information to the supervising therapist </li><li>Monitor and report behavior patterns of individual patients and groups of patients </li><li>Retrieve/return from parking area, the hospital car/van used for transporting patients into the community </li><li>Performs general clerical/office duties as assigned </li><li>Performs other tasks as assigned </li><li>Positive Impact/Achieving Results: Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in situations while producing results </li><li>Service Excellence/Customer Focus: Ability to meet or exceed customer service needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
