<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Francis Howell School District is recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation in education. Located in St. Charles County, Missouri, FHSD serves more than 16,000 students and is dedicated to recruiting and retaining highly qualified professionals who are passionate about student development and continuous school improvement.</p> <p>We are currently seeking a nurturing, visionary, and student-centered educational leader to serve as the Principal of the Early Childhood Center - Central School Road. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong background in early childhood education, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for creating a supportive and developmentally appropriate learning environment.</p> <p>Minimum Starting Salary: $79,013 (salary commensurate with education and experience)</p> <p>Start Date: July 1, 2025</p> <p>About Early Childhood Center - Central School Road</p> <p>4535 Central School Road | St. Charles, MO 63304</p> <p>Student Enrollment: Approximately 170</p> <p>Certified Staff: Approximately 10 FTE</p> <p>Administrative Team: Principal</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Master's degree required; Specialist or Doctorate preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Missouri Principal Certification (Early Childhood preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of five (5) years successful teaching experience (early childhood level strongly preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of early childhood curriculum, assessment, and child development</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with families, staff, and the community</p> </li><li> <p>Experience supporting inclusive practices and early intervention services</p> </li><li> <p>Strong communication and organizational skills</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Missouri Early Learning Standards and best practices in early childhood education</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Leadership Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Foster a warm, safe, and inclusive school environment that supports all learners</p> </li><li> <p>Promote developmentally appropriate instructional practices and early intervention strategies</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with staff and families to support student growth and readiness for kindergarten</p> </li><li> <p>Lead data-informed decision-making and instructional planning aligned with early learning standards</p> </li><li> <p>Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and professional learning opportunities</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee daily operations, including staffing, compliance, and family engagement initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Serve as a liaison between the Early Childhood Center and the District's broader educational goals</p> </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li> <p>Medical and dental plan options</p> </li><li> <p>Vision coverage</p> </li><li> <p>Employee Assistance Program (EAP)</p> </li><li> <p>District-paid basic life insurance ($75,000)</p> </li><li> <p>District-paid Short-Term Disability</p> </li><li> <p>Paid holidays</p> </li></ul> <p>Family coverage, long-term disability, and additional life insurance options are available at the employee's expense</p> <p>Application Process</p> <p>Please include the following in your application:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A letter of interest addressed to: Lisa Simpkins, Chief Human Resources Officer</p> </li><li> <p>Current resume</p> </li><li> <p>Valid Missouri Administrator Certificate</p> </li><li> <p>Three current letters of reference (one must be from a current supervisor - external applicants only)</p> </li></ul> <p>We look forward to reviewing your application and learning how your leadership can support the continued growth and success of the Early Childhood Center - Central School Road and the Francis Howell School District.</p>
