<p>Job Details:</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>HealthAlliance Hospital, part of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), is seeking a per diem Board Certified / Board Eligible Pulmonary/Critical Care Physician to join our team. This position is a nocturnal, critical care position. Shifts are 7pm-7am. Job</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Outpatient Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine:</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose and manage a range of pulmonary conditions, including COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, and pulmonary nodules.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide evaluation and treatment for sleep disorders, such as obstructive sleep apnea and insomnia.</p> </li><li> <p>Interpret pulmonary function tests.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with referring providers and respiratory therapists to optimize patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Inpatient Consultative Services</p> </li><li> <p>Provide pulmonary consultations for hospitalized patients on an as-needed basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Work closely with the hospital's medical staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>ICU Coverage</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in occasional ICU rounding or consults, offering critical care expertise.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with ICU nurses and physicians to manage critically ill patients as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Team Collaboration & Leadership</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with advanced practice providers (APPs), nurses, and allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive care.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in departmental initiatives, quality improvement projects, and hospital committees.</p> </li><li> <p>Documentation & Compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow hospital guidelines for billing, coding, and regulatory standards.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications / Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>MD or DO degree. </li><li>Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine </li><li>Additional Sleep Medicine certification or interest in sleep medicine is preferred but not required. </li><li>Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills. </li><li>Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a community hospital setting. </li></ul> <p>Additional Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Work-life balance with a predominantly outpatient schedule. </li><li>Competitive compensation with productivity incentives. </li><li>Comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, malpractice coverage, and retirement plans. </li><li>CME allowance and opportunities for professional development. </li><li>A collaborative and supportive work environment within the WMCHealth network. </li></ul> <p>About Us:</p> <p>HealthAlliance Hospital is part of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), a 1,900-bed healthcare system with ten hospitals across seven campuses in the Hudson Valley.
