<p>We are seeking a Business Development Manager to increase Orgill's market share through prospective or existing dealers by participation in Orgill sales and marketing programs.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Prospect for new business in the defined region assigned. </li><li>Responsible for planning, developing, presenting and implementing prospecting strategies that attain new customer business and increase dealer participation in Orgill's sales and Retail Services programs. </li><li>Accountable for the successful management of all new or existing dealer supplier conversions and/or bin tagging projects through the process of Orgill's conversion procedures. </li><li>Work closely with Retail Services Project Managers to ensure successful implementation. </li><li>Present, sell and implement all vertical growth programs to prospective or existing dealers. </li><li>Provide training to sales representatives and trainees about vertical growth programs, store planning and conversion programs. </li><li>Required attendance to sales, training, dealer market, regional shows and store opening functions. </li><li>Provide periodic updates of BDM, conversion, blitz and dealer market reports. </li><li>Monitor and provide reports about the buying program pace for new accounts. </li></ul> <p>Success Factors: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Aptitude to establish priorities, meet deadlines, manage one's own time, and proceed with objectives with limited supervision. </li><li>Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. </li><li>Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. </li><li>Ability to communicate information and ideas both verbally and written to a wide range audience so others will understand. </li><li>Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. </li><li>Possess the knowledge and skills to plan, organize, and implement a range of sales promotion ideas and programs. </li><li>Effective presentation skills to include obtaining the buy-in from the audience. </li><li>Bringing others together and trying to reconcile differences. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Job Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent is required. </li><li>An Associate or Bachelor Degree in a similar field is preferred. </li><li>Five or more years of experience in the hardlines industry and a thorough knowledge of the wholesale or retail hardware, lumber, and building material industry's concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred. </li><li>Working knowledge of Gmail, G Suite and Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint. </li><li>A valid driver's license, along with a safe driving record is required. </li><li>Travel by car and via airplanes to customer locations when necessary. </li><li>Must be willing to work from home, traveling by auto and air, 4 -5 days per week is required. </li></ul>
