<p>Candidates must have an active Secret clearance and verify, before applying, that you meet the minimum requirements of the position.</p> <p>Position Title: Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert Security Clearance: Secret Locations: APG, MD Education Requirement: MA/MS preferred in Engineering or Computer Science Experience Requirement: 10 years in systems engineering supporting DOD programs</p> <p>Overview: The Systems Engineer Subject Matter Expert will provide exceptional expertise in the design, integration, testing, and analysis of military electronics and computer systems. This role requires a deep understanding of systems engineering principles, particularly within the DOD environment, and the ability to provide strategic guidance throughout the project lifecycle.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Design, integrate, test, and analyze military electronics, computer networking systems, super-minicomputers, microcomputers, and digital and graphic display systems. Initiate, supervise, and develop requirements from a projects inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs. Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to program and project staff. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and compliance with operational requirements. Maintain comprehensive documentation and reporting standards for engineering processes and outcomes.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education: MA/MS preferred in Engineering or Computer Science. Experience: Minimum of 10 years in systems engineering supporting DOD programs. Equivalent academic experience may be considered (1 academic year at an accredited college or university may substitute for 1 year of experience). Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities, proficiency in systems design and integration, and excellent communication and leadership skills.</p> <p>JANUS strives to provide opportunities for career growth through training and development.
