<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>The position has primary responsibility for the collection and sample analysis of nutrient monitoring data as part of the NERRS long-term water quality monitoring program. The position also assists with field operations required to maintain the in situ sensor network deployed as part of the NERRS long-term water quality monitoring program and has opportunities to participate in additional research and monitoring activities relevant to NERR objectives.</p> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision or instruction. </li><li>Ability to read and understand scientific publications and instruction manuals, and execute actions to support the scientific goals of the project. </li></ul> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Required Education and ExperiencePreferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in chemistry, marine or environmental science, or equivalent. </li><li>Knowledge of estuarine or aquatic ecology. </li><li>Experience working with small outboard engine boat operations and safety. </li><li>Prior experience conducting field and laboratory research. </li><li>Familiarity withbasic environmental sampling techniques and laboratory methods. </li><li>Computer proficiency and knowledge of basic data management and statistical procedures. </li></ul> <p>Additional Comments</p> <p>Job Close Date</p> <p>03/09/2026</p> <p>Special Instructions to Applicant</p> <p>Positions are advertised for a minimum of five (5) business days on our job website.
