What You'll Do</p> <p>As a Family Coach, you'll work directly with families to build trust, remove barriers, and support their child's growth and well-being. Your coaching will help families strengthen relationships, achieve goals, and access community resources.</p> <p>School Readiness & Inclusion</p> <ul> <li>Guide families through educational choices and transitions like kindergarten enrollment </li><li>Participate in IEP and IFSP meetings when needed </li></ul> <p>Family Engagement & Community Partnerships</p> <ul> <li>Build trusted, respectful partnerships with families </li><li>Support parents in developing positive, meaningful interactions with their children </li><li>Provide coaching in child development, health, safety, nutrition, and mental wellness </li><li>Conduct in-person goal setting and family assessments </li><li>Connect families to resources that support their goals and long-term wellness </li><li>Collaborate with community partners, service providers, and Head Start staff </li><li>Help plan family events, recruitment efforts, and Open House activities </li><li>Support Family Success Plans and Attendance Success Plans </li></ul> <p>Health & Safety Support</p> <ul> <li>Assist families in accessing continuous, high-quality healthcare and insurance coverage </li><li>Help families obtain services related to nutrition, oral health, mental health, housing, and more </li><li>Ensure required 30/45/90-day screenings and timelines are met </li></ul> <p>Documentation & Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and document daily attendance, concerns, and follow-up </li><li>Maintain accurate, timely data entry and records per HSPPS guidelines </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate degree in social sciences, human services, or related field</p> </li><li> <p>OR 2 years of social services experience may substitute for degree</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in family development, social work, human services, or psychology preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with low-income families preferred</p> </li><li> <p>FDC credential (provided) must be completed within 18 months of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Strong ability to problem-solve and support families in crisis</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work in homes within high-risk communities</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and reliable transportation</p> </li><li> <p>Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (stooping, squatting, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)</p> </li></ul> <p>Why You'll Love Working Here</p> <ul> <li>You make a meaningful impact every day </li><li>Supportive, mission-driven environment </li><li>Professional development opportunities </li><li>Connect families to life-changing services </li><li>Be part of a compassionate and community-focused team </li></ul> <p>About Us</p> <p>JFCAC is committed to uplifting families and strengthening communities through comprehensive Head Start services.
