Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this position provides strategic and operational direction for billing, accounts receivable management, reimbursement performance, denial prevention, revenue integrity, payer compliance, and revenue cycle analytics.</p> <p>The Director serves as the organization's subject matter expert for revenue cycle operations and reimbursement processes, ensuring that services are accurately documented, billed, collected, and reimbursed in accordance with regulatory requirements and payer guidelines. This position partners closely with Finance, Clinical Operations, Compliance, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership to improve financial performance, strengthen revenue integrity, and support organizational growth.</p> <p>Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Revenue Cycle Operations</p> <ul> <li>Provides leadership and oversight of all revenue cycle functions, including billing operations, claims management, payment posting, denial management, collections, and accounts receivable performance. </li><li>Directs daily revenue cycle operations through leaders and staff while promoting operational efficiency and accountability. </li><li>Establishes performance expectations, operational standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for revenue cycle functions. </li><li>Develops and implements revenue cycle initiatives that improve reimbursement outcomes and support organizational goals. </li></ul> <p>Revenue Integrity & Reimbursement Performance</p> <ul> <li>Oversees organizational revenue integrity efforts to ensure services are appropriately documented, coded, billed, and reimbursed. </li><li>Monitors reimbursement trends and identifies opportunities to improve revenue capture, reduce denials, and enhance collection performance. </li><li>Leads denial prevention and recovery initiatives through root cause analysis, workflow improvements, and cross-functional collaboration. </li><li>Oversees aged accounts receivable management and develops action plans to improve collection performance and cash flow. </li><li>Provides reimbursement analysis and operational recommendations to support CFO-led financial planning and payer strategy. </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Regulatory Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Ensures compliance with payer requirements, Medicaid regulations, billing guidelines, and organizational policies. </li><li>Maintains oversight of revenue cycle readiness for audits, payer reviews, compliance investigations, and reimbursement-related examinations. </li><li>Collaborates with Compliance and Clinical Operations leadership to mitigate reimbursement and documentation risks. </li><li>Monitors regulatory changes impacting reimbursement and recommends operational adjustments as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Analytics & Performance Management</p> <ul> <li>Develops and maintains revenue cycle dashboards, management reports, and performance metrics. </li><li>Analyzes denial trends, collection performance, payer activity, reimbursement patterns, and operational productivity. </li><li>Provides regular performance reporting and recommendations to the CFO and executive leadership. </li><li>Utilizes data analytics to identify process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies. </li></ul> <p>EMR & Revenue Workflow Optimization</p> <ul> <li>Provides strategic oversight of revenue-related workflows within Epic, SAMMS, and other clinical and financial systems. </li><li>Partners with Information Technology and operational leadership to optimize system functionality and reimbursement workflows. </li><li>Supports implementation of new technologies, workflow redesigns, and system enhancements impacting revenue cycle operations. </li><li>Ensures alignment between clinical documentation, billing workflows, and reimbursement requirements. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Staff Development</p> <ul> <li>Provides leadership, coaching, mentoring, and performance management for revenue cycle leadership and staff. </li><li>Builds a culture of accountability, customer service, collaboration, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Establishes departmental goals and supports professional development and succession planning initiatives. </li><li>Promotes strong working relationships across Finance, Clinical Operations, Compliance, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required. Professional Coding Certification preferred. </li><li>Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive healthcare revenue cycle experience. </li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience overseeing complex healthcare billing and reimbursement operations. </li><li>Demonstrated expertise in Medicaid, Medicare, commercial insurance reimbursement, denial management, accounts receivable management, and revenue cycle optimization. </li><li>Behavioral healthcare, substance use disorder treatment, FQHC, or multi-site healthcare experience strongly preferred. </li><li>Experience with Epic and healthcare information systems strongly preferred. </li><li>Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement methodologies, payer regulations, compliance requirements, and revenue cycle best practices. </li><li>Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams. </li><li>Excellent analytical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills. </li></ul> <p>Exposure Control Risk Level: A.
