<p>ABOUT OMAHA COUNTRY CLUB</p> <p>Founded in 1899, Omaha Country Club has cultivated a rich heritage throughout its historic 125 years, and is well known in the community for setting a standard of excellence. Once primarily a golf and dining club, over time, OCC has evolved to offer a myriad of facilities and services befitting a fine country club.</p> <p>The heart of the Club is a highly active and loyal membership, many of whom are legacy members. The membership enjoys a championship golf course, premier golf practice facilities, a variety of dining and banquet rooms, tennis and pickleball courts, an outdoor swimming complex, and a trap shooting range. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be a positive influence and hold a key position within our management team. Working cohesively with all department heads, this position will lead, implement, and assist with all accounting functions, and strategic financial planning to ensure the Club's continued success.</p> <p>This is a wonderful opportunity to play a vital role in shaping and developing the financial best practices of the Club while providing guidance and mentorship to staff members in various departments with unique goals, tasks and needs. Come work in the vibrant atmosphere of our beautiful Clubhouse while providing your expertise to better our team!</p> <p>JOB ATTRIBUTES</p> <p>Strong, positive, seasoned professional able to handle all aspects of financial operations for the Club.</p> <p>Team-player with a can-do attitude, and the ability to provide service-excellence to the OCC membership.</p> <p>Detail-oriented, with high integrity, a strong drive and ambition, and a good moral compass.</p> <p>Proven track record of sound financial management with the ability to lead a small team.</p> <p>Ability to provide succinct financial reports to convey complex financial information easily and effectively to individuals with varying levels of accounting backgrounds.</p> <p>Understands the importance and will be accountable for producing accurate, and consistent verbal and written communications.</p> <p>Ability to work and communicate with a high level of confidentiality.</p> <p>Exhibits a polished and professional appearance.</p> <p>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Work closely with the General Manager as an integral part of the management team, supporting the Club and department managers by providing accurate and current financial data to facilitate informed decisions.</p> <p>Supervise the accounting functions relating to internal controls, budgeting, cash flow management, fixed assets, POS system, payroll, and forecasting.</p> <p>Manage daily Business Office operations and supervise, mentor, and develop the accounting team to ensure high performance and professional growth.</p> <p>Establish and maintain uniform internal controls across all departments to safeguard Club assets, and maintain compliance with GAAP standards, and legal and regulatory statutes.</p> <p>Assembles information and coordinates with external auditors for the annual audit.</p> <p>Propose effective tools, process improvements, and best practices to ensure all accounting, inventory, auditing, budgets, taxes, and related activities and records are functioning properly and efficiently.</p> <p>Manage month-end closing, cash flow, and general ledger reconciliation.</p> <p>Work closely with the Club's Treasurer to keep them abreast of the Club's finances. Lead the Finance Committee meetings and provide succinct financial reports at the monthly Board of Directors meetings.</p> <p>Develop future financial models to assist the management team and the Board of Directors in planning, while ensuring sufficient cash flow to meet Club goals and forthcoming capital expenditures.</p> <p>Lead the annual budgeting process providing guidance and tools across all departments to ensure consistent and accurate budget preparation, monthly tracking and management, and year-end accountability.</p> <p>Provide courteous customer service when communicating with the Club-owned membership regarding dues, invoicing, and membership-related issues.</p> <p>Maintain loans, lease agreements, annual licenses, permits and fees, and contracts for the Club.</p> <p>Analyze internal pricing and invoicing in coordination with annual budgeting to ensure appropriate cash flows.</p> <p>Work closely with the Human Resources Manager to implement staff onboarding, payroll, and benefit programs.</p> <p>Embrace flexibility, strive for continuous improvement, and champion other projects as needed to ensure the Club's continued success.</p> <p>JOB REQUIREMENTS</p> <p>Bachelor's degree at an accredited university in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's or CPA preferred).</p> <p>Minimum five years of experience in finance with at least three years in a leadership role.</p> <p>Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.</p> <p>Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Experience with 501(c)7 organizations helpful.</p> <p>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).</p> <p>Experience with POS systems, club management software (i.e. Jonas), or the ability to learn and master software program.</p> <p>Maintains affiliations and actively participates in professional associations and continuing education.</p> <p>COMPENSATION</p> <p>Competitive compensation package.</p> <p>This is a on-site position.</p> <p>Successful candidate subject to a thorough background check.</p> <p>OCC BENEFITS</p> <p>Omaha Country Club offers health insurance (OCC/employee shared expense), basic life insurance, short-term disability, pension plan with OCC contribution, paid time-off, holiday pay, golfing privileges, Golf Shop discount, limited meals, and expenses paid for continuing education dues and conference attendance.</p> <p>In addition, a flexible spending account, dental insurance, vision insurance, and various supplemental insurance offerings are available at minimal employee expense.
