<p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Plumber will participate in the installation or maintenance and inspection of plumbing systems and associated processes.</p> <p>POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Regular attendance at assigned location; may include A/Z office or other project site; </li><li>Works on systems that include sanitary waste and vent; laboratory/process waste; tempered water; potable and non-potable water; roof drainage; </li><li>Works with materials that include cast iron; PVC; polypropylene; copper (solder and pro-press); </li><li>Measure, cut, thread or bend pipe to required angle using hand or power tools or machines such as pipe cutters, pipe-threading machines or pipe-bending machines; </li><li>Locate and mark the position of pipe installations, connections, passage holes or fixtures in structures using measuring instruments such as rulers or levels; </li><li>Test pipes or fixtures for leaks using various methods; </li><li>Assemble pipe sections, tubing or fittings using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, soldering or brazing equipment; </li><li>Install pipe assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances or fixtures using hand or power tools; </li><li>Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors; </li><li>Direct helpers or apprentices in appropriate tasks; </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, plans or specifications to determine work details or procedures; </li><li>Must maintain strict adherence to safety rules and quality; </li><li>Participate in site housekeeping; </li><li>Interacts with co-workers in an attentive courteous manner; </li><li>Additional duties as directed by management. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>SKILLS & EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team; </li><li>Experience: 5 years of Field Experience, trade school or apprenticeship; </li><li>Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in industrial construction; </li><li>Attention to detail; </li><li>Ability to keep hand and arm steady; </li><li>Be highly focused on customer satisfaction expectations; </li><li>Good documentation and record keeping; </li><li>Preparation of miscellaneous paperwork including time sheets, daily reports and material requests; </li><li>Competency in Permit Required Confined Space; </li><li>Understanding of and strict adherence to daily Job Hazard Analysis (JHA); </li><li>Appropriate state certification or license; </li><li>OSHA 10 certification. </li></ul> <p>A/Z Corporation is an AA/EOE Employer</p>
