<p>Scheduled Hours</p> <p>37.5</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>Manages daily accounting with oversight of the accounts payable and receivable for the School of Public Health including management of non-compensation operational budget administration. Performs annual analysis of service costing models as well as providing direct supervision for the expense and revenue tracking functions.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Primary Duties & Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Directs the establishment and implementation of internal accounting policies and procedures in compliance and alignment with those of the University. </li><li>Analyzes and prepares regular budget review reports. </li><li>Oversees monthly, quarterly and annual billing processes. </li><li>Directs financial analysis and benefit realization on a variety of projects. </li><li>Establishes reporting procedures to track/improve/record business related information and measure capital investments. </li><li>Manages processes and maintains formalized budget calendar related to internal transparency and collaboration for budget preparation and ongoing visibility into the budget to support optimization of resources. </li><li>Plan and facilitate regular budget oversight meetings. </li><li>Works with others to develop unit operating budgets. </li><li>Assist in the development of short and long term facilities plans for the unit to maximize operational efficiencies and minimize costs. </li><li>Maintain an accurate staff location database. </li><li>May manage staff. </li><li>Partner with department leadership to provide improvements in the delivery of administration services. </li><li>Provide analysis and reporting for department management. </li><li>Participate in strategic planning for the department. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>Job Location/Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Normal office environment. </li><li>Ability to work extra hours and adjust schedule and recognize the need to do so. </li></ul> <p>Physical Effort</p> <ul> <li>Typically sitting at desk or table. </li><li>Repetitive wrist, hand or finger movement (PC Typing). </li></ul> <p>Equipment</p> <ul> <li>Office equipment. </li></ul> <p>The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by people assigned to this classification.
