<p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>The Glenview Community Ice center is looking to hire part-time Operations Staff member. In this role, you will be responsible for performing the following duties, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Providing customers with a friendly, clean and safe environment in which to participate in programs, public sessions, events and rentals </li><li>Operating skate rental, basic point-of-sale desk operations and skate guard </li><li>Distributing rental skates for use during classes and public sessions </li><li>Processing payments for a variety of services and maintaining a balanced register </li><li>Setting up, operating and taking down bumper cars </li><li>Skate guarding, ensuring a safe and friendly environment </li><li>Assisting with birthday parties and room rentals </li><li>Greeting customers coming in/exiting the facility and giving guidance to facility layout/schedule </li><li>Communicating and supporting rentals as guests arrive, unlocking their reserved room and aiding parties as needed during their reservation </li><li>Monitoring and enforcing safety guidelines with patrons around the facility </li><li>Completing light maintenance duties when the skate rental desk is not busy </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>The best applicants will be reliable with previous experience in customer service, ice operations or programming, or have knowledge of ice programming or operations. </li><li>Must be at least 16 years old. </li></ul> <p>SCHEDULING AND PAY</p> <ul> <li>This is a year-round position working 10-20 hours per week. </li><li>This position requires working weekends anywhere from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., as well as weeknight evenings between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. </li><li>The target hiring pay rate is $16/hour, depending on qualifications. </li></ul> <p>FOR MORE INFORMATION</p> <p>Contact Luke Ulbert at Luke.Ulbert@glenviewparks.org.</p> <p>APPLY ONLINE</p> <p>Visit us at www.GlenviewParks.org - click on "Jobs" at the top of the page.</p> <p>If interested, please apply early.
