<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position performs a variety of financial duties within the Division of State Patrol's Bureau of Transportation Safety and Technical Services (BOTSTS). These activities require knowledge of a specialized Grant System and the Department's overall financial management system, PeopleSoft, to perform a variety of budget monitoring, project establishment, and payment processing demands. This position assists with responsibilities for supporting efforts related to these financial demands and providing advice and training in system use, system maintenance, and processing transactions. Additional responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Performs financial tasks related to procurement and payment of materials. </li><li>Serves as a purchasing resource who offers advice on policy and procedures, helps with analyzing problems, creates purchase orders, and prepares and revises specifications and contract provisions related to material purchases. </li><li>Assists with media plans setting up contracts and paying all related media invoices. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in schedule-range (02-11) with a starting hourly rate of $21.66, plus excellent benefits. A twelve month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>WisDOT does not sponsor work visas. For permanent positions that allow remote work flexibility, it is not anticipated that working outside of Wisconsin (or bordering cities) will be allowed because positions may need to report to office locations in Wisconsin on short notice.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified applicants must meet all the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience assisting internal and external customers with grant or fiscal program inquiries. </li><li>Training or experience utilizing and maintaining financial systems (such as PeopleSoft), online databases, or shared sites (such as SharePoint). </li><li>Experience providing quality assurance or ensuring policy and financial compliance with contracts. </li></ul> <p>In addition to all the above, well-qualified applicants will have experience with one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with payments/invoices for contracts and financial transactions. </li><li>Experience with reconciliation of accounts between two or more financial systems. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>Apply online!
