In addition, the technician will complete the training for the manufacturing operations group and fill in as needed during production runs.</p> <p>ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Manage own time and professional development, and be accountable for own results. </li><li>Prioritize own workflow. </li><li>Execute manufacturing of solutions and media in compliance with cGMP regulations and SOPs. </li><li>Execute unit operations in the manufacturing operations group, including cell culture and fermentation, column chromatography, and ultrafiltration. </li><li>Increase efficiency of the solutions prep group through review of daily practices and implementation of solutions to fix common issues. </li><li>Perform troubleshooting of solutions prep equipment and operations. </li><li>Report any deviation or observation that might lead to adverse impact to product quality. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship</p> <ul> <li>Candidates within a commutable distance of Chesterfield, MO are encouraged to apply </li><li>High School Diploma </li><li>Minimum 2+ years in a manufacturing setting. This can be in a chemical plant, biologics pilot plant, clinical manufacturing plant, or any combination thereof. </li><li>Technical knowledge of how to calculate and prepare basic buffer solutions. </li><li>Some knowledge of biologics manufacturing unit operations. </li><li>General chemistry background (e.g. understanding of Henderson-Hasselbalch equations, conductivity, and osmolality). </li><li>Knowledge of maintenance and calibration of pressure-rated tanks, large scales, heat exchangers, and water systems. </li><li>Experience in cGMP compliance as related to manufacture of solutions and media. </li><li>Experience in electronic systems for recording data, including formulation records and logbooks. </li><li>Ability to think critically and demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Strong workload planning skills, organization, attention to detail, and follow-through. </li><li>Proven ability to deliver projects on time. </li><li>Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software programs, or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <ul> <li>Position is full-time.
