You will collaborate with other teachers to create and implement effective educational activities for children across various developmental domains in accordance with Early Learning Standards and school-approved curricula. The ideal candidate will tailor educational plans so that students grow cognitively, socially, emotionally, and in their faith.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Assist with preparation of centers and classroom activities, facilitate centers/activities as instructed by lead teacher.</p> <p>Connect and build a personal relationship with each student.</p> <p>Help to ensure that the classroom is a safe, fun, and inviting environment</p> <p>Maintain cleanliness and order in the classroom/bathroom.</p> <p>Facilitate Jesus time via monthly plans from the Chapel leader.</p> <p>Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures.</p> <p>Characteristics:</p> <p>Christian individual with a heart for kids</p> <p>Willingness to collaborate and foster a team environment</p> <p>Strong leader</p> <p>Flexible</p> <p>Kingdom minded</p> <p>Others first mindset</p> <p>Self-motivated and organized</p> <p>Outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic</p> <p>Passionate</p> <p>Consistent pursuit of personal and professional progress</p> <p>Commitment to excellence</p> <p>Problem solver</p> <p>Strong communication skills, both interpersonally and corporately</p> <p>Preferred Education/Experience:</p> <p>CDA or other degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred</p> <p>Experience working with pre-school aged students preferred.</p> <p>Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail as well as critical thinking skills.</p> <p>Must pass a required background check.</p> <p>Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds.</p> <p>Other physical demands include: sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, crawling, reaching, stooping, and working outside.</p> <p>Staff Expectations:</p> <p>Faithful in weekend worship at Mount Pleasant or another Christian Church.</p> <p>Involvement in ministry outside of specific ministry area</p> <p>Practice Christian stewardship through the giving of regular tithes and offerings</p> <p>Practice a lifestyle witness</p> <p>Be willing to assist with and perform responsibilities outside of your ministry area as needed</p> <p>Always display a willingness to help church members and guests when asked or in critical times</p> <p>Personal acceptance and alignment with Mount Pleasant's vision and mission</p>
