<p>Thompson Engineering is looking for a CEI Level II Inspector for our office in Knoxville,</p> <p>TN. Employees in this classification follow standard procedures in documenting</p> <p>construction projects and inspecting job activities to verify compliance with project plans</p> <p>and specifications. The inspector will be responsible for completing a daily report</p> <p>documenting the labor and equipment used by the contractor to include a description of</p> <p>the work performed and any pertinent conversations with the contractor. The inspector</p> <p>will assist with office work such as plotting cross-sections and computing earthwork</p> <p>quantities.</p> <p>DUTIES</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Position</p> <ol> <li> <p>Inspect work in progress to ensure conformance with plans and specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Inspect workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains required reports of construction inspection activities</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares sketches of construction installations that deviate from plans and</p> </li></ol> <p>incorporates changes into master plans</p> <ol start="5"> <li> <p>Inspects and test materials incorporated into the project.</p> </li><li> <p>Interprets specifications as related to materials and workmanship</p> </li><li> <p>Drives company vehicle safely to and from worksites.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct all work activities in compliance with Thompson Holdings, Inc. Health, Safety</p> </li></ol> <p>& Environmental Management System, safety policies & procedures, safety execution</p> <p>plans and Job Safety and Environmental Analyses.</p> <ol start="9"> <li>Attend and pro-actively participate in monthly safety meetings, project toolbox safety </li></ol> <p>meetings and safety moments.</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Ensures on time and regular attendance </li></ol> <p>Other Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Other duties as required </li></ol> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <ol> <li>High school diploma or equivalent required.
