<p>Salary: Starting range $120K DOE</p> <p>Location: TBD</p> <p>Schedule: Flexible; nights, weekends, and up to 50% overnight travel as business needs require</p> <p>This position directly impacts driver safety, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and regional financial performance while reinforcing Maverik's commitment to excellence and reliability.</p> <p>Position Summary & Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provide leadership to direct reports, including hiring, onboarding, training, and ongoing development </li><li>Direct and coach drivers on best practices, safety standards, and operational efficiency </li><li>Promote continuous improvement in productivity, safety, and service performance </li><li>Ensure driver qualification files, equipment records, and safety documentation are maintained according to established guidelines </li><li>Serve as a driver advocate by partnering with internal departments to resolve questions, concerns, and issues </li><li>Coordinate dispatch communications with customers, suppliers, and drivers to ensure service alignment </li><li>Manage regional P&L, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for cost control and performance improvement </li><li>Advise on budget management and recommend cost-control strategies </li><li>Partner with Lead Drivers and Dispatch to oversee equipment maintenance and fleet readiness </li><li>Facilitate training to ensure compliance with SOPs, safety protocols, and company policies </li><li>Lead initial response efforts for incidents and accidents, including reporting and investigation support </li><li>Ensure compliance with DOT, governmental, and safety regulations </li><li>Maintain schedule flexibility to meet business needs </li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred </li><li>5+ years of experience in the transportation industry </li><li>Prior leadership experience preferred </li><li>Experience in crude transportation strongly preferred </li><li>Active CDL with professional driving experience preferred </li><li>Knowledge of DOT regulations (local, state, and federal) </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to deliver consistent, proactive, and high-quality operational support </li><li>Strong sense of urgency with a hands-on, problem-solving mindset </li><li>Ability to build constructive working relationships through collaboration and mutual respect </li><li>Willingness to proactively identify and address operational risks and opportunities </li><li>Awareness of industry and market trends impacting operational competitiveness </li></ul>
