<p>Description</p> <p>This seasonal position involves assisting the site director in planning and facilitating a balanced summer recreation camp program.</p> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li>Endless Fun: Spend your summer outdoors, enjoying activities, games, and adventures. </li><li>Make a Difference: Inspire and mentor young campers, helping them create lifelong memories. </li><li>Awesome Team: Work alongside a fantastic group of counselors and staff. </li><li>Leadership Experience: Develop and showcase your leadership skills in a dynamic and fun environment. </li></ul> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>The primary function of this position is to support the Camp Counselors in their group activities with facilitating and leading small groups of children in various activities, entertainment and educational programs that include: sports, games, arts & crafts, swimming, canoeing, bicycling, archery, fishing, field trips, and special events. </li><li>Assume some of the Site Director's responsibilities in their absence like parent/camper counseling, confirming field trip schedules, redirecting staff assignments and activities. </li></ul> <p>Education, Experience, Licensing</p> <ul> <li>Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED and one year of experience working with large groups of youth, children of all ages preschool through teens. </li><li>Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required. </li><li>First Aid and CPR training is required prior to Camp Programs starting. </li><li>Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening (fingerprints) is required. </li></ul> <p>Supplemental Information</p> <p>MANDATORY CAMP IN-SERVICE TRAINING will be held:June 9th - June 13th, 2025</p> <p>CAMP DATES:June 16th - August 1st, 2025</p> <ul> <li>Note that this position does not include benefits. </li><li>Perform extensive physical activity and work outdoors in all weather conditions. </li><li>Bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Understand that camp staffing levels are dependent on minimum enrollment and camper participation.
