<p>Biochemist- Entry level position looking for B.S. in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or Microbiology</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join our Environmental Monitoring and Verification team within the Quality Control Department as a Biochemist. This role combines elements of chemistry and microbiology, and involves work both in production suites and the QC lab.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct surface sampling and cleaning verification swabs in a clean room setting after product manufacturing. </li><li>Perform QC testing using UV, conductivity meters, incubators, autoclave, and particle size testing. </li><li>Undergo training for future HPLC and GC testing. </li><li>Peer review data while adhering to cGMP regulations. </li><li>Sample water and conduct microbial testing. </li><li>Qualify agar plates for growth promotion. </li><li>Cross-train on the Raw Materials Team to test incoming materials and perform wet chemistry testing such as pH, IR, moisture, and identification tests. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related Life Science field. </li><li>0-2+ years of experience in chemistry, particularly with HPLC or other analytical instrumentation. </li><li>0-2 years of experience working under GMP regulations. </li><li>Proficiency in microbiology and chemistry testing, quality control, and QC testing. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and self-accountability. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Ability to prioritize tasks and willingness to learn. </li><li>Self-awareness and capability to work collaboratively within a team. </li><li>Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal direction. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in a Quality Control laboratory setting with a modern design and shared workspaces.
