<p>Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position Description:</p> <ul> <li>At least five (5) years experience operating, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing HVAC equipment. </li><li>State of Oklahoma Journeyman's license required; State of Oklahoma Contractor's license preferred. </li><li>Excellent mechanical aptitude </li><li>Knowledge of and the ability to install and maintain residential and commercial cooling and heating systems. </li><li>Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in the repair of heating and air conditioning equipment in residential and light commercial buildings. </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in training and teaching others. </li><li>The work schedule for this position requires flexibility to work two nights per week, 6 - 10pm, as scheduled throughout the spring, summer and fall semesters. </li></ul> <p>Job Functions for all ACD Instructors:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and experience in the appropriate subject matter. </li><li>Instruct students in competency-based program curriculum using current instructional strategies appropriate to the subject matter to assure highest quality classroom instruction. </li><li>Effectively manage the classroom to create an optimal learning environment. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date records of student attendance, academic progress and grades as required by district policy and certification/regulatory agencies. </li><li>Ensure syllabus, supply list and lesson plans are current prior to each class taught. </li><li>Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills and professionalism (i.e. - prepared, reliable, responsible, punctual, etc.) </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the mission and goals of Tulsa Tech's ACD program </li><li>Participate in professional development opportunities as required by the ACD department. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time. </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent required</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Evening</p> <p>Salary Schedule:</p> <p>Standard rate schedule for non-regular (temporary, adjunct, substitute) and regular part-time employees</p> <p>Hiring Range:</p> <p>$35 per hour</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>N/A</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>For maximum consideration, receipt of application material is June 13th.
