If you do not mind hard work and want to make a difference in your community, then please consider joining the FMCC family.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Wet Utility General Laborer position focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground water and sewer systems pipes, fire hydrants, manholes, and related infrastructure.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with installation and repair of wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drain), </li><li>Dig trenches, clear debris, tools and hazardous materials from job site, </li><li>Perform trenching, pipe laying, and site cleanup, </li><li>Assist with setting up traffic control devices, cones, and construction signage. </li><li>Follow all safety procedures and work as part of a crew, </li><li>Load and unload materials and tools at the job site </li><li>May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends, </li><li>Additional duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 1 year experience in utility and construction work, </li><li>Ability to work outdoors in various conditions, </li><li>Reliable transportation and strong work ethics, </li><li>Reliable transportation to job sites, </li><li>Must be able to pass drug screen and background checks. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-100 pounds continuously throughout the workday, </li><li>Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, squat, and twist, throughout the workday, </li><li>This job requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, </li><li>This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts), </li><li>Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, wind, or other extreme inclement weather for extended periods of time, </li><li>May perform work in an environment with exposure to fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to moving equipment. </li></ul> <p>Note: This position is considered Safety-Sensitive, and therefore subject to various schedule and unscheduled screenings for controlled substances.</p> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and fully subscribe to the principles of Equal Employment Opportunity.
