Performs daily clerical/office duties as assigned by inpatient rehab servicesstaff, including but not limited to:-Answering office telephones/Voicemail to field routine questions from patients orhospital staff-Handing off communication to a licensed therapist when necessary-Obtaining daily OR list in order to produce all patient tags for distribution bycharge therapist in assigning daily PT/OT caseloads/handling of patient orderscalled to rehab office and notifies charge therapist of new patient pickups-Utilizes hospital census to confirm all patients with orders have been assigned toa therapist.2. Sorts all rehab services incoming and outgoing mail for appropriate distributionto staff. Reorders office supplies, PT/OT paperwork and PAS packets/patienteducation materials.3. Provides support to therapists on patient floors by assisting with non-licenserequired tasks. These tasks include, but are not limited to:-Manual assist during patient treatments-Preparing ice for patients' post-treatment-Assisting with warm and form brace production/fit once instructed by orthopedictechs.4. Provides delegated treatments of routine specific exercises (initiated bytherapist in prior treatment) to NEBH patients under the supervision of a licensedphysical therapist, or a physical therapist assistant. Completes note in electronicmedical record that is dated and timed.5. Reports patient response to treatment in a timely manner to the primarytherapist. Communicates with RN staff prior to treatment as well as on completionof treatment.6. Sanitizes all rehab equipment after patient use in accordance with hospitalpolicy. Stores excess equipment in designated areas throughout patient floors.7. Maintains a safe and clean work environment.-Maintains the daily cleanliness of the rehab services staff office and rehabservices storage areas.8. Assists with delivery of durable medical equipment (DME) to patients for discharge home when DME company rep is not working. When covering for the orthopedic tech: assists with delivery of orthopedic braces/assists with warm and form brace production/fit once instructed by orthopedic techs.9. Utilizes time in a productive manner and able to effectively prioritize patientcare and non-patient care responsibilities.10. Responsible for reading email, written communications, staff meeting minutes, hospital and applicable Policy and Procedures and other essential work-related communication.Interpersonal Skills:a. Accepts criticism with corresponding change in behavior or performance.b. Demonstrates a polite, professional and courteous manner.c. Is courteous to and considerate of co-workers, supervisor, hospitalpersonnel, visitors, patients and physicians.Work Habits:a. Adherence to established dress code policy.b. Organization of time and completion of assignments within a giventimeframe.c. Utilization of free time in a constructive manner.Communication Skills:a. Good verbal skills in giving and receiving telephone messages andinformation.b. Ability to listen to and to understand a conflicting viewpoint.c. Ability to effectively express one's ideas in a discussion of professionalissues.Performs other related duties as required.Attends annual safety review.Arrives and leaves at designated times.Minimum of 2 Weekend Days a month Pay Range: $20.00 - $26.92The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law.
