<p>Description</p> <p>Clary Sage College is looking for a Nail Technician Instructor! The Nail Technician Program prepares students for entry-level employment in Manicuring. Must be an experienced Nail Technician with a valid Oklahoma Master Instructor License (Cosmetology or Manicurist/Nail Technician Instructor) and have a minimum of three years of field experience with natural and acrylic nail enhancements. Must have experience in massage techniques, arm, hand, leg, and foot anatomy, manicuring, pedicuring, and various artificial nail applications. Strong verbal communication abilities, customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to operate nail technology equipment. The schedule is Mon-Thurs. 12:00pm - 10:30pm (Four 10-hour days with 3-day weekends!). Full-time evenings with great benefits. Licensed by OBPVS.</p> <p>Required Skills/Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Advanced industry and terminology knowledge in the program field </li><li>Ability to use training curriculum in various ways and activities to impart knowledge and skills in multiple settings, including in-person theory classroom, hands-on lab, and E-Learning </li><li>Highly developed interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills; ability to coach and support </li><li>Leadership abilities, including the ability to command a class </li><li>Strong presentation, public speaking, written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Excellent time management, organization, and resourcefulness skills </li><li>Proficient in, or quick learner of Google Workspace, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and other basic campus management software </li><li>Experience in higher education, adult training, curriculum development, and program administration a plus </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>A valid Oklahoma Master Instructor License is a compliance requirement </li><li>A minimum of three years of verifiable Nail Technician field experience (working as a Manicurist and/or Cosmetologist) is a compliance requirement </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent required </li><li>Technical college teaching experience a plus </li><li>Diploma or Associate degree in the field is a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical and Mental Requirements</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to:</p> <ul> <li>Stand, sit, stoop, bend, kneel, reach outward/overhead, move objects up to 20 pounds in all directions, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other tools of the trade. </li><li>Remain in a stationary position, often standing for most of the instructional period to best monitor student work in the lab setting, or sitting at a computer, for an extended period of time </li><li>Close vision requirements due to computer work and observing students' class work and lab performance. </li><li>Hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds </li><li>Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information accurately, loudly, or quickly. </li><li>Attend work regularly and predictably, as scheduled </li><li>Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with others, and ability to complete tasks in situations that have a productivity quota. </li></ul>
