<p>Division/Unit: Information Technology (IT) Department</p> <p>Civil Service Title: Community Associate</p> <p>Position Title: SharePoint Developer</p> <p>Salary Range: $51,712 - $68,927</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>In this full-time SharePoint Developer role, the candidate will join a team of application developers in Manhattan District Attorney's IT Department as we prepare for a multi-year application migration project. A set of SharePoint applications currently running in an 'on-prem' SharePoint environment will be migrated into a new, cloud-based Microsoft Power Platform application development environment in the Microsoft 365 cloud.</p> <p>The current 'on-prem' application portfolio is a mixture of simple and complex applications in SharePoint using NINTEX Workflow and Forms. Most of these applications will need to be fully redesigned and redeveloped during this migration. Once the migration project has completed, the work will continue in Microsoft 365.</p> <p>We are looking for a junior person with aptitude for programming and logical thinking. Important is the ability to learn programming, both in the Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint. Also essential is teamwork, with communication and collaboration across projects and applications. This position offers a great opportunity to be creative, innovate and build the future application portfolio at the Manhattan District Attorney's Office.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop applications using Power Platform and other tools on the Microsoft 365 cloud. </li><li>Assist in extracting key requirements from existing applications for redesign and redevelopment onto the Microsoft 365 cloud. </li><li>Participate in status meetings on progress, priorities, issues, performance issues and future work. </li><li>Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned. </li><li>Develop and maintain 'out of the box' and highly customized SharePoint applications. </li><li>Develop and maintain interfaces between SharePoint applications and other architectures (web services, SQL, etc.). </li><li>Participate in creating system and requirements documentation. </li></ul> <p>In addition to the Minimum Qualification Requirements, candidates must possess the following:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college; and </li><li>Minimum one (1) to four (4) years of experience in Information Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, or similar field. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Moderate experience with programming and logical thinking </li><li>Experience with Microsoft tools and technologies a plus. </li><li>Moderate level of experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus. </li></ul> <p>How To Apply:</p> <ul> <li>Apply with a Cover Letter & Resume. </li></ul> <p>Hours/Shift:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday, from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Current office employees: To be eligible for a transfer or promotion, staff must have already served at least one (1) year in their current unit/bureau/department and be in good standing. In addition, must meet the minimum and additional qualifications of the position. </li><li>Authorization to work in the United States is required for this position. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualification Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or </li><li>Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" above. </li></ul> <p>Public Svc Loan Forgiveness:</p> <ul> <li>As a prospective employee of the City of New York, you may be eligible for federal loan forgiveness programs and state repayment assistance programs.
