Eligibility is based on completing the hiring process, onboarding, and signing our standard bonus agreement.</p> <p>How you'll make an impact</p> <p>As a Senior Field Service Technician, your primary contribution may be hands-on technical execution, field leadership, or a combination of both, depending on your background and project needs.</p> <p>Field Leadership Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and coordinate transformer service activities across installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, and end-of-life projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Act as the senior on-site technical representative for customers.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate field resources and ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to resolve complex field challenges.</p> </li></ul> <p>Technical Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Perform, oversee, or validate transformer testing and diagnostic activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Support vacuum processing, oil handling, internal inspections, and component assembly as required by project scope.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex transformer issues.</p> </li></ul> <p>Your background</p> <ul> <li> <p>Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.</p> </li><li> <p>Associate degree or two-year technical diploma with 5-10+ years of progressive transformer field service experience, or High School Diploma / GED with 7-12+ years of progressive transformer field service experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated experience performing transformer installation, commissioning, testing, maintenance, repair, and decommissioning activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience performing or overseeing transformer testing and diagnostic activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with oil handling, vacuum processing, and internal transformer inspections.</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license with the ability to travel extensively to customer sites.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in project-based field environments.</p> </li></ul> <p>More about us</p> <p>We pride ourselves on offering a holistic range of competitive benefits to support your financial, physical, and mental wellbeing and personal development.
