<p>Full-Time</p> <p>3 Commercial Place</p> <p>Information Services</p> <p>Days</p> <p>42.9800 Through 64.4800</p> <ul> <li> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> </li><li> <p>The IS Data & Analytics Development Specialist is responsible for designing, coding, maintaining and enhancing CHS - developed applications to meet the needs of the departments and provide strong analytical understanding to capture, report and aggregate data. Reports to department leadership.</p> </li><li> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> </li><li> <p>Works collaboratively with department personnel to gather reporting requirements, assimilate complex data across multiple sources, build data connections when necessary and provide information needed for data-driven decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Gathers an understanding of business procedures to assess and organize data needed for research, compliance, and normal business practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains appropriate documentation used for the design, coding and utilization of data.</p> </li><li> <p>Predicts the meaning of data by cleansing, screening, and applying statistical methods and algorithms when necessary.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains data integrity and security to keep data management systems current.</p> </li><li> <p>Explores and identifies opportunities for improvements; recommends enhancements to improve and optimize the environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Keeps abreast of trends, best practices, and new developments pertaining to data management and analytics.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other duties, tasks and specialized projects as assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS</p> </li><li> <p>None</p> </li><li> <p>MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Required:</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, or relevant combination of education and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Computer software, excel spreadsheets, SQL, reporting tools experience a must.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates experience working with relational and flat databases.</p> </li><li> <p>A questioning attitude, attention to detail, strong communication skills and problem solving abilities required.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be highly self-motivated and flexible while able to accept direction with the completion of tasks.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred:</p> </li><li> <p>Two or more years of data mining experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Four or more years in a Data/ Business/ Systems Analyst role.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous healthcare information systems/ data analytics experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Business objects and Cerner/ Epic experience.</p> </li><li> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p> </li><li> <p>Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like with the exception of visits to the computer room.</p> </li><li> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS</p> </li><li> <p>Click here to view physical requirements.</p> </li></ul>
