Design, install, and administer virtualization using VMware and Hyper-V tools or similar interfaces. Develop automated scripts for monitoring or analyzing the operation of infrastructure. Proactively identify and recommend updates to software or architecture as necessary before reaching capacity limitations. Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures. Develop automated responses to incidents so manual intervention is not required. Champion system metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, etc., and convey them to decision makers on a regular basis. Manage priority of issues and tickets. Provide technical guidance in troubleshooting and deployment efforts for lower-level personnel and increased expectations on independent workloads.</p> <p>Skills, Experience and Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or closely related technical field plus 2 years of experience in job offered or similar role. Must have 2 years of experience with/using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):</p> <ul> <li>VMware services and tools. </li><li>Building and administering multiple VMware products across multiple remote locations and data centers. </li><li>Java, C++, Perl, Python, Ruby, or Shell Scripting. </li><li>Infrastructure-As-Code, automating deployments, cluster management, and systems security within a CI/CD Pipeline. </li></ul> <p>Salary Ranges</p> <p>Compensation: $110,000.00/Year</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Benefits information available at https://careers.dish.com.
