The individual will be interacting alongside plant personnel and independently working on installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and conducting PMs daily.</p> <p>We are hiring for 2nd and 3rd shift. Hours are 3pm-11pm or 11pm-7am.</p> <p>Skills Sets</p> <ul> <li>Electrical </li><li>CNC-driven systems - Preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs. </li><li>PLC's / Ladder Logic understanding. </li><li>3 phase & Single-phase motor control </li><li>Capability of fluently reading and comprehending schematics </li><li>Conduit and panel wiring installation. </li><li>NEC code & NFPA 70.E comprehension & understanding </li><li>Mechanical </li><li>Mechanical drawing reading and comprehension </li><li>Power Transmission </li><li>Pneumatics </li><li>Hydraulic systems and schematics </li><li>Pipe fitting; Welding / Soldering / Threading </li><li>Fabrication </li><li>Welding - Arc, MIG and TIG </li><li>Plasma Cutting </li><li>Metal shaping and bending </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience as a maintenance technician supported by training from a certification program, vocational, or technical school pertaining to the skill sets listed above. The job requires frequent walking, climbing ladders, and standing for periods up to 8-12 hours a day. The applicant must be safety-minded and will be required to participate in the Kennametal Spill Response program. Will be required to pass a Respirator Medical Evaluation and participate on the Plant Emergency SCBA Response Team.</p> <p>Work Environment: Environment with controlled temperatures and dust collection systems. Safety glasses with side-shields required. Safety shoes required. Cut resistant gloves when necessary.</p> <p>Physical Demands: Approximately 8 hours standing/ walking with two break opportunities per eight-hour work period. Frequent reaching, climbing, and bending.
