<p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <p>Performs all duties and activities in a manner that conforms to site specific safety requirements, company policy, state and federal regulations.</p> <ul> <li>Perform duties and responsibilities as assigned which would include but are not limited to: shoveling, rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, stoppings, ventilation, belt moves, power moves, pumping and roadway maintenance. </li><li>Perform other tasks and duties as required to maintain the outby areas in efficient operating condition. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Fill in on section as needed and as qualifications allow. </li><li>Perform other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of mining support activities (rockdusting, timbering, brattice work, ventilation, pumps, etc.). </li><li>Knowledge of safe job procedures for general inside labor. </li><li>Skill with hand tools. </li><li>Know the Safe Job Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures, company safety policies, and applicable rules and regulations. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment/Physical Activities:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires the operator to possess the dexterity (refer to Physical Abilities) to work and operate machinery and equipment in a coal seam height that varies. The operator must constantly be attentive to the changing geological conditions and surrounding environment. </li></ul> <p>Education, Qualifications and Training:</p> <ul> <li>Underground coal miner's certificate </li><li>Annual 16 hour retraining and/or appropriate training </li><li>Task training </li><li>Other qualifications as required by contract, regulations and/or management </li></ul>
