<p>Job Description:</p> <p>GLASTONBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>Glastonbury, Connecticut</p> <p>NOTICE OF VACANCY</p> <p>POSITION:</p> <p>Building Substitute/Classroom Paraeducators</p> <p>Full-Time (Two Union Positions Available)</p> <p>Smith Middle School</p> <p>Ten-month position, Monday - Friday</p> <p>Up to 35 hours per week</p> <p>HOURLY WAGES:</p> <p>$19.36, Pay Group D</p> <p>DUTIES:</p> <p>In the absence of a full-time classroom teacher, the building substitute paraeducator will provide instruction, encourage student progress and manage the learning classroom environment by implementing existing lesson plans. Will also provide support to teachers and administrative staff, assist with school activities and programs, perform clerical functions and help staff monitor students. Other duties may be assigned as needed.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Bachelor's degree preferred, however, a waiver may be available for applicants with *associates degree and experience(s) with school-age children.
