Are you ready to go beyond?</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <p>The Development Operations Assembly Equipment Design team is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer, preferably with assembly tooling design and structural analysis experience. The Design Engineer will work with other disciplines; Project, Process Planning, Product Design Engineering, to fulfill the task of designing equipment for the assembly, disassembly, inspection, and test of Pratt & Whitney commercial and military development and mature jet engines.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Produce technically sound computer aided design models and drawings for equipment used in the assembly, disassembly, and inspection of Pratt & Whitney engine products.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce technically sound structural analysis reports on assembly equipment designs.</p> </li><li> <p>Advise Assembly Equipment Project engineers on assembly processes and equipment design requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize standardized procedures and CORE tools to continuously improve the assembly equipment design process.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for development engine assembly process changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for new and revised equipment initial try-outs.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide support for physical equipment alterations and manufacture through interfacing with machinists.</p> </li><li> <p>Travel is up to 10% based on business needs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications You Must Have</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering.</p> </li><li> <p>8 years of Mechanical Design engineering experience or an advanced degree with 5 years of Mechanical Design engineering experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with blueprints, dimensions & tolerances and manufacturing methods.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with GD&T ASME Y14.5M-1994.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications We Prefer</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Teamcenter, Unigraphics NX, ANSYS and classical methods of structural analysis.</p> </li><li> <p>Assembly equipment experience, turbine jet engine assembly/disassembly equipment experience a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Turbine jet engine architecture experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Active Secret Clearance</p> </li></ul> <p>What We Offer:</p> <ul> <li>Employee Scholar Program </li></ul> <p>Learn More & Apply Now!</p> <ul> <li>Development Operations provides services to support future products for global commercial airlines, industrial partners and military customers. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
