In this role, you'll take projects from early concept through construction, working on a diverse portfolio of land development, residential, and site civil design projects throughout New York State and New York City.</p> <p>If you enjoy solving complex design challenges, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and seeing your work come to life in the field, this is an excellent opportunity to grow your career in a fast-paced, supportive environment.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and support civil site design projects from concept through construction.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare comprehensive design plans, including:</p> </li><li> <p>Site layout and grading</p> </li><li> <p>Drainage and utility systems</p> </li><li> <p>Stormwater management systems</p> </li><li> <p>Erosion and sediment control</p> </li><li> <p>Perform stormwater management analysis and design, including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, in compliance with NYSDEC and NYCDEP standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop erosion and sediment control plans, prepare permit applications, and coordinate with local and state regulatory agencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Produce detailed engineering drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct site visits and field assessments, collaborating closely with contractors, architects, and other project stakeholders.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with engineering reports, technical analyses, specifications, and cost estimates.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all designs comply with New York State and NYC codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.</p> </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <p>Required Experience & Skills</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3+ years of experience in land development and site civil design. </li><li>Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. </li><li>Hands-on experience with stormwater management, grading, drainage design, and erosion & sediment control design and permitting. </li><li>Working knowledge of NY State and NYC regulations and standards. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working on projects in both New York State and New York City. </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us</p> <ul> <li>Be part of a woman-owned, fast-growing engineering firm. </li><li>Join a close-knit team of approximately 30 engineers working on technically challenging projects. </li><li>Work on a diverse project portfolio with a strong backlog that ensures steady, meaningful work. </li><li>Enjoy real opportunities for professional growth, responsibility, and advancement. </li><li>Gain exposure to complex projects from design through construction. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Office hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM </li><li>Lunch: 1-hour break </li><li>Fast-paced, collaborative, and engineering-focused culture </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holtsville, NY.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $53.00 - $68.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
